Hey everybody! So how the heck are ya? Me, well, I can't complain much. And we all know that I'm pretty good at complaining. The only things that really suck right now are gas prices (inevitable though, thanks leaders), the fact that my CD changer mysteriously stopped working this weekend, and living in Bullitt County (that will ALWAYS suck). Everything else seems to be going pretty well.
I've managed to get into 2 of 3 classes so far, and should be able to get into the third sometime today. My "boss" (he told me not to call him that, and now I don't know what to call him; how bout "un-boss") pulled some strings for me to help out with the class registration process. Now, I just need to get a parking pass, a Cardinal Card, and textbooks and I should be all set. I can't believe I start school in like, 13 days. I'm anxious to see what this place will be like when it's crawling with students. I REAAAAALLY can't wait for football to start though. I've only been to one game since the advent of the new stadium.
I'm learning quite a bit at the new job, and I feel like I've only scratched the surface. The good thing is that I knew most of the same info that I have to learn now, only for Murray State instead of UofL. So it shouldn't be hard to re-train myself. My "un-boss" essentially kicked me out of work yesterday, which was cool. He seems to be the no-bullshit type who isn't going to force me to sit at a desk when there's nothing valuable for me to do.
So, I ended up leaving yesterday around 3:30, allowing me to drive around and kill time at Cherokee Park until Dustin got off. Like a nerd, I started to "study" for my job (I have a binder full of info to learn), and then, like an even bigger nerd I gave up on studying to swing on the swingset. I would swing everyday if I could. When Dustin arrived we went to ear-x-tacy and to his friend James' house, a house that I absolutely love because they have three kitties!! I'm glad I know people who have cats because like a third grader, I'm not allowed to have them at my house. Add that to the list of 1987923456798 reasons why I can't wait to move out of my parents' house (I love them, though). We watched/listened to James mess around with turntables, which was cool because he's pretty good at it, Dustin took me back to my car, and I went home. It's been a busy few days for sure. The only downtime I've really had is at work-HA, how ironic! Life is good. Although I was so tired last night that I fell asleep on top of the covers with no pants on--I was in the middle of getting dressed for bed and didn't quite have the energy to make it.
Can't wait for this weekend and Cassie's big suprise birthday extravaganza!! Anyone reading is more than welcome to come to Kendra's for pregaming, decorations, and I think I even heard a rumor about food! I believe the plan is to then go to Howl at the Moon at 4th Street, and then back to Bardstown Road. There should be a decent-sized group in attendance already, but the more, the merrier, so come out!!
